Food and Memory in Poetry
Poetry Workshop with Gloucester Writers Center member, Catherine Strisik.
Over the course of this online six-week poetry workshop, we will explore through food in poetry, our relationships to family, culture, and earth. How does food awaken our senses and memories?
This workshop will explore the variations of how poetic forms describe and express.
The workshop will be a generative one, as well as emphasizing craft, and specific and careful word choices, and how and why food and poetry elicit reactions. My wish is to meet you wherever you are as a poet, and guide towards writing more finished poems, therefore inviting you into a delicious dining experience through poetry.
